Light at the End of the Tunnel

I took this picture during one of my hikes at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, CA about a month ago. That day, I was enshrouded with intense grief about my father who passed away in March this year. After hiking for two hours, I was going to walk through this tunnel to go look at a waterfall. While I was entering the tunnel, I was immediately surrounded by an atmosphere of cool air and darkness. And there was light and warmth waiting to greet me at the end of the other side. And in that brief moment, an unexpected sigh of relief came into my heart. I believed then that grieving is like journeying though that tunnel. If I just keep walking, I will make it to the end where joy of life will greet me at my arrival.
